St Martin’s Church is a rare survival of a 12th century church in Scotland. As the only building in Haddington dating from 1318 that is still standing, Haddington 700 is celebrating this iconic ruin and exploring its hidden history.
Come along to the Open Day with Durham University and East Lothian Council Archaeology Service to find out more about the church and how we are using geophysical survey to discover the archaeology of the area. There will be a chance to meet the experts and to try ‘hands-on’ surveying with a variety of instruments.
This project is funded by Historic Environment Scotland.
