Haddington and District Community Council holds monthly public meetings to discuss matters affecting the local community and to determine the way forward, reflecting the views of the community.
They are held on the second Tuesday of every month, starting at 7 pm lasting approximately 2 hours. There is usually a summer recess during July and August where no meetings are held.
Haddington Farmers’ Market is held on the last Saturday of every month (except the December market which is before Christmas) from 9am – 1pm.
The market is situated in picturesque Court Street, in the county town of Haddington, East Lothian.
Half hourly buses to and from Edinburgh stop and pick up at the market. Haddington is also well connected by bus to all the main towns and villages in East Lothian.
There are public toilets adjacent to the site on Neilson Park Road.
Why not visit the market and then stroll through the historic town and see what the many independent shops, cafes and pubs in Haddington also have to offer? Admire the well-tended flowers and plants, or take a walk along the river Tyne, visit historic St. Mary’s church, Lady Kitty’s Garden or Amisfield Walled Garden.
Haddington Pipe Band also attend on a regular basis, entertaining shoppers and visitors with their traditional tunes.
